A black granite headstone stood on the rise of hill. The passing of time had weathered the stone and the inscription upon it was no longer readable. It stood, as it always had, alone, apart from a low stone wall which marked a boundary that existed long ago. Ivy was creeping through the cracks between the rocks and a delicate trailing plant lay thick on the rocky ground, the little blue and white star shaped flowers creating a carpet of wonder. As her eyes adjusted to the almost palpable darkness, she realized that she was not where she had been when she had lain down to rest. Fear welled inside her. Where was she?
